Exercise Purpose

To evaluate and enhance the coordination, communication, and response capabilities of government entities and aviation stakeholders in the event of a significant cyber incident impacting aviation.

Exercise Objectives

  • Fortify the coordination and collaboration among government entities and aviation stakeholders during a cyber incident.
  • Identify gaps and areas for improvement to increase cyber resiliency within current aviation systems, networks, processes, and operations.
  • Inform the development and revision of cybersecurity and incident response processes, plans, and procedures.
  • Improve the aviation ecosystem's ability to maintain situational awareness and exchange real-time information during a cyber incident.
  • Assess the ability of the aviation ecosystem's recovery/restoration processes to ensure public safety and continuity of operations following a cyber incident.

Participation is strongly encouraged! Participation is in-person and virtually via Microsoft Teams. Please indicate whether you plan to attend in-person or virtually.

Getting to the Venue

Driving Directions

From Virginia I-66:
Take Exit 71
You will exit I-66 onto Fairfax Drive
Take a left onto N Wakefield St in Ballston Plaza.
You'll come to a stop sign with three parking garage options.

From DC I-66:
Take Exit 71
Take a left onto N Glebe Road
Take left into the "Melting Pot" garage entrance. A parking sign will be visible on the corner of the parking access alley and N Glebe Road called "Ballston Plaza."

Parking

Park at the 1110 N Glebe Public Parking Garage.
Take the elevator to the main lobby or the 7th floor security station for screening.

Metro Station: Ballston-MU

Accessible via the Orange and Silver lines.

Walking from the Metro (map next page)

Exit the metro at the Ballston-MU Station.
Turn left and walk down Fairfax Drive toward N Glebe Road.
Cross N Glebe Road and turn right, walking past Starbucks and Booeymongers.
1110 N Glebe Road will be on the left side.

Security & Support

Building Access

Doors to the main lobby are between Ballston CrossFit studio and SER Restaurant. Exercise participants will be met and escorted from the main lobby to the 7th floor security station. At security, you will be required to provide a valid government photo ID, driver's license, or passport. Upon your completion with security, CISA staff will direct you to Conference Room 1128 B-C on the 11th Floor.
